What is in it
- Turmeric
The dried, ground root of Curcuma longa, a plant in the ginger family. Turmeric powder naturally contains about 1–3% curcuminoids. Liver Support contains 300 mg of turmeric root powder per serving, not a standardized curcumin extract.
- Beetroot
The root of Beta vulgaris, dried and ground to a powder. Our Beetroot contains 1,300 mg of organic beetroot powder per serving, and Liver Support contains 200 mg. Neither is standardized or tested for nitrate, so we don't state a...
- Dandelion Leaf
The dried leaf of Taraxacum officinale, the common dandelion. Liver Support contains 100 mg of dandelion leaf powder per serving (leaf, not root).
- Artichoke Extract
An extract of globe artichoke (Cynara scolymus), standardized to 5% cynarin. Liver Support contains 50 mg of whole-herb extract per serving, which works out to about 2.5 mg of cynarin.
- Ginger
The dried, ground root (rhizome) of Zingiber officinale. Liver Support contains 50 mg of ginger root powder per serving; the Psyllium + Acai blend contains an undisclosed amount.
- Milk Thistle
A flowering plant whose seeds contain silymarin, a group of flavonolignans. Liver Support contains 50 mg of milk thistle powder per serving. It isn't a standardized extract, and 50 mg is far below the amounts used in research.
- Alfalfa
The dried leaf of Medicago sativa, a legume grown mainly as animal forage. It naturally contains vitamin K. Liver Support contains 20 mg of alfalfa leaf powder per serving.
- L-Cysteine
A sulfur-containing amino acid that the body also makes from methionine and that occurs in protein foods. Liver Support contains 10 mg per serving, as L-cysteine hydrochloride.
