Guide
When is the best time to take resveratrol?
Our label directs one capsule twice a day, 20 to 30 minutes before a meal. No study we could verify tested one time of day against another.
The best time to take resveratrol is the time your label says. Ours directs one capsule twice a day, 20 to 30 minutes before a meal, or as directed by your healthcare professional. We found no study that compared morning with night, or taking it with food with taking it without, so no time of day has evidence behind it.
What our label says about timing
Electric Tiger Resveratrol directions: take one capsule twice a day, 20 to 30 minutes before a meal. In practice that usually means once before the first meal and once before another. The label does not say morning or night, and it does not tie either capsule to a goal. Details are on the product page.
What the research says about timing
Very little. The one timing-related fact we can verify is about how long the body holds on to it. In a 2004 study, six healthy volunteers took a 25 mg oral dose, and resveratrol plus its metabolites showed a plasma half-life of 9.2 hours. That means traces circulate for many hours after a dose, so an hour's difference in timing is a small matter next to that. It does not show that one time of day produces a better result, and the study was too small and too narrow (one low dose, six people) to say.
Can you take resveratrol at night?
Nothing on our label restricts it to daytime or night-time, and we make no sleep or energy claim for it, so there is no result you would be timing it for. If a capsule bothers your stomach or you find it awkward before a particular meal, move it to another meal, because nothing we found says that matters. If you are unsure, ask your pharmacist or doctor.
With food, before food, or fasted?
Our label says 20 to 30 minutes before a meal. We have no verified trial comparing fed and fasted resveratrol, so we do not claim that either helps absorption. Whether a capsule fits within a fasting routine is your call; we do not make claims about fasting protocols.
How long do trials run?
Studies have measured outcomes at 4 weeks (a 29-day safety study), 30 days, 12 weeks and 26 weeks. Those are research durations, not predictions. There is no "feel it in a week" figure behind any resveratrol product we can cite. For what those trials found, see what the research does and doesn't show.
Questions people ask
When should I take resveratrol, morning or night?
Whichever fits the label's "twice a day, before a meal". No study we could verify favours either.
Should resveratrol be taken with food?
Our label says 20 to 30 minutes before eating. There is no verified trial showing that taking it with food changes anything.
Can resveratrol make you sleepy, or keep you up?
We make no sleep claim and found no sleep result in the studies we read. That is not proof it has none; if a capsule affects your sleep, move the dose and speak to your doctor.
How fast does resveratrol work?
We cannot say. Trials waited 4 to 26 weeks before measuring; none reported a time-to-effect.
When do I use resveratrol with ferulic acid or a serum?
Those are skin-care products with their own instructions. This page is about capsules.
Which resveratrol supplements or liquids should I look at?

- High absorption but very low bioavailability of oral resveratrol in humans Most of a 25 mg dose was absorbed, but almost none stayed in the blood as plain resveratrol; it was converted to other compounds.
